Custom autonomous systems engineering · AI & DevOps consulting
Your infrastructure.
Your workflows.
Autonomous by design.
We design, build and integrate custom AI-powered autonomous systems for enterprises, turning complex operational processes into secure, intelligent workflows that work within your existing technology environment.
Not every enterprise needs another platform.
Sometimes the right answer is an autonomous system engineered for your infrastructure, your workflows, your security requirements and your business objectives, not a product you bend your organisation around.
Beamreach provides the engineering to build it: the architecture, the delivery, and the integration into the systems you already run. We're accountable for the technical quality of what we ship, and it ships into your repositories, your permissions model and your deployment process.
We also make our own products: Compass for cloud teams and Yura for law firms. Custom engineering is the other way to work with us, for when a product doesn't fit.
What we build
Three kinds of system, often combined in one engagement.
01
Autonomous DevOps systems
Custom AI-driven infrastructure operations, built on what we learned building Compass.
- Cloud environment discovery and contextual understanding
- Automated infrastructure auditing and optimisation
- FinOps and cost optimisation
- Security monitoring and remediation, including canary credentials
- Infrastructure as Code generation and maintenance
- Incident investigation and operational assistance
- Controlled execution through your existing CI/CD and Git workflows
02
Enterprise AI agents
Purpose-built agents that operate inside your existing business and technical systems.
- Multi-step operational workflows
- Intelligent document and data processing
- Cross-system orchestration
- Internal knowledge and decision-support agents
- AI-powered monitoring and reporting
- Human-supervised execution of business processes
03
Systems integration and automation
Autonomous capabilities connected to the infrastructure and tools you already run, not a wholesale platform replacement.
- Cloud platforms and APIs
- Internal applications and databases
- Code repositories and CI/CD
- Communication systems: Slack, email, ticketing
- Business software such as CRM and case management
Example systems, as mock demos
Every system we build is designed around one metric: the number it reads, acts on, and reads again to prove the action worked. Each demo plays out one realistic run with a fictional company, stops for your approval where a person would decide, and ends with the features and the problem it solves.
Incident response
First Mate →
An incident companion. When an alert fires it gathers evidence, ranks the likely causes, fixes what you approve and drafts the post-mortem.
Metric: time to restore
Operations · alert noise
Lookout →
Groups alerts that share a cause, runs the runbooks you've approved, pages a person only when one is needed, and retires noisy rules.
Metric: alerts that reach a human
Delivery · Jira
Logbook →
Reads meeting transcripts and updates the tickets people talked about, marks blockers, maps the work and finds the biggest bottleneck.
Metric: tickets out of date
Identity and access
Quartermaster →
Joiner and leaver access across every system. Routine access on day one, owner approval for sensitive grants, nothing left behind.
Metric: access gaps
Looking for cloud cost or Terraform coverage? Those are built into Compass, our product for AWS teams.
How we work
A straightforward delivery model. Every step ends with something you can inspect.
-
1
Discover
Understand the existing environment, the operational bottlenecks, the risks and the business objectives. We map what's there before proposing what should be.
-
2
Design
Define the autonomous workflow, integrations, security boundaries, governance and success criteria. For each operation we decide up front what may run unattended: only what is verifiable, reversible and contained. Everything else waits for a person.
-
3
Build
Engineer the system with modern AI frameworks, automation platforms and proven infrastructure practice: infrastructure as code, tests, and changes delivered as reviewable pull requests.
-
4
Integrate
Connect it to your existing infrastructure, applications, permissions, monitoring and deployment processes, with least-privilege access and an audit trail of what the system did and why.
-
5
Operate and improve
Ongoing maintenance, optimisation, new capabilities and operational support where you need it. Autonomy is widened one operation at a time, as the system earns it.
Expert-led delivery, with capacity that scales
Every project is led by senior infrastructure and AI engineering, starting with Beamreach's founder. Additional specialised engineers join as the scope requires.
Beamreach stays accountable for the architecture, the technical quality, the delivery and the integration. This is not staff augmentation: you get a system that works and a team that owns getting it there.
Engagement models
- Pilot or proof of value. One real workflow, scoped tightly, in your environment.
- Fixed-scope implementation. A defined system, delivered and handed over.
- Dedicated engineering engagement. A broader programme with a standing team.
- Ongoing maintenance and managed automation. We keep it running and improving.
- Expansion of existing systems. New capabilities on top of what you already have.
Why Beamreach
Deep infrastructure expertise
More than 13 years designing, building and operating complex DevOps and cloud infrastructure, in the cloud and on-premise.
Working autonomous systems
We build and run our own: Compass maps AWS estates and ships fixes as pull requests; Yura runs intake and follow-ups for law firms. Custom work draws on code and lessons that already exist.
Engineering discipline
Security, permissions, reliability, auditability, operational safety and human oversight are designed in from the first workshop, not bolted on before go-live.
Flexible delivery
From a focused pilot to a broader engineering programme, we scale implementation capacity to the project.
No unnecessary lock-in
We build around your existing systems and requirements, with technologies and deployment models chosen for your environment, including self-hosted where that's what your security posture needs.
Ideas tested in public
The approach behind this work is on stage in November 2026 at DevOpsDays Barcelona and DevOpsDays Portugal.
Product or custom build?
Some teams are best served by one of our products. Others need something engineered for them. We'll tell you which.
Product
Compass →
AWS teams who want autonomous DevOps as a product: cost audits, IaC coverage and canary credentials, with its own pricing and demos.
Product
Yura →
Law firms that want intake, follow-ups and case updates automated, on Yura's own plans.

Custom autonomous systems
Enterprises whose infrastructure, workflows or governance need a system built for them. Where Compass components fit, they can speed up delivery; no custom engagement requires Compass.
AI and DevOps consulting
Not ready for a build? We also take on advisory and hands-on consulting, often as the Discover phase of a larger system.
AI consulting
Find where AI pays off in your operations, run a scoped pilot on a real workflow, and leave your team able to run it. We start from the workflow, not from a tool.
AI in DevOps →DevOps and cloud consulting
Hands-on work in your AWS accounts, Terraform and GitHub: cost, IaC coverage and drift, and canary credentials. Every change is a pull request your team approves.
Guides for cloud teams →Let's build your autonomous system.
Tell us about your infrastructure, workflows or operational challenges. We'll help define a practical path from concept to production.

What is custom autonomous systems engineering?
Designing, building and integrating AI-powered systems that carry out operational work inside your own environment: infrastructure operations, multi-step business workflows, cross-system orchestration. The system is engineered around your infrastructure, permissions and governance rather than delivered as a generic platform.
Do I need to use Compass?
No. Compass is a standalone product for AWS teams. Where its components fit a custom engagement they can speed up delivery, but no custom project requires Compass.
Is this outsourcing or staff augmentation?
No. Beamreach leads the architecture and is accountable for technical quality, delivery and integration. Additional engineers join as the scope requires, under that technical leadership.
How do you keep an autonomous system safe?
An operation may run without a person only if it is verifiable, reversible and contained. Everything else goes through human approval. The system gets least-privilege access, changes go through your Git and CI/CD workflows as reviewable pull requests, and every action is recorded. Autonomy is widened one operation at a time as it is earned.
How does an engagement start?
Usually with a short consultation, then either a scoped pilot on one real workflow or a fixed-scope implementation. Larger programmes, ongoing maintenance and expansion of existing systems are also available.
Do you still offer AI consulting and DevOps consulting?
Yes. AI consulting covers finding where AI pays off and running a scoped pilot. DevOps and cloud consulting covers AWS cost, Terraform coverage and drift, and cloud security, delivered as pull requests your team approves.
