One Fake Password Is Worth More Than 10,000 Alerts →
Alerts measure symptoms; a canary credential measures intent. Why a well-placed fake secret is the signal you can safely automate on, and how to set one up in an afternoon. Pujades Track, BAU.
About the speaker
Ilia Dubovskii is an engineer and the founder of Beamreach. He has spent years running cloud infrastructure and automation for other companies, and now builds Compass, a system that maps AWS estates, ships fixes as reviewable pull requests and plants canary credentials for attackers.
His talks try to separate what he has running in code from what is still his opinion, and say which is which.
